(Dan Tri) – Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said that the statements and actions of Wagner military group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin can be considered inciting civil conflict and `stabbing in the back`.

After information that Wagner’s military convoy appeared in Rostov-on-Don, southern Russia, Reuters said, in a newly released video, Mr. Yevgeny Prigozhin declared that Wagner had control of the entire facility.
`Military facilities in Rostov have been controlled, including an airport,` Mr. Prigozhin said.
He said that he and his forces are currently at the southern district military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don.
He affirmed that this is not a coup and does not affect Russia’s `special military campaign` in Ukraine.

Russian officials have made tough statements about the actions of Wagner military group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin.
`Prigozhin’s statements and actions actually constitute a call for a civil armed conflict on Russian territory and a backstabbing of Russian military personnel fighting with Ukraine,` the FSB media office said on the 24th.
The statement emphasized: `We call on Wagner members not to commit irreparable mistakes and to stop all acts of force against the Russian people, not to follow Prigozhin’s illegal and treasonous orders.`
The FSB also affirmed that information spread on social networks in the name of Prigozhin that the Russian army launched a missile attack on Wagner’s units is false and an informational provocation.
RT quoted the June 23 announcement of Russia’s Anti-Terrorism Committee saying that the FSB has opened a criminal investigation against Mr. Yevgeny Prigozhin accusing him of inciting armed rebellion.
The announcement was made after Mr. Prigozhin announced that he would lead Wagner’s military convoy from the Ukrainian battlefield into the Rostov region in the border area between Russia and Ukraine to `demand justice`.
Russian authorities have increased security in Rostov, surrounding areas and the capital Moscow.
The Moscow region even increased security with anti-terrorism measures.
The US closely monitors the situation
US National Security Council spokesman Adam Hodge said Washington is closely monitoring and consulting with allies on the current situation in Russia.
On the same day, US Senator Marco Rubio commented on Twitter: `Our national security agencies are closely following developments in Russia. Regardless of how this plays out, it will certainly have an impact.`
