The Russian Ministry of Defense on June 11 accused the Ukrainian military of conducting an attack using a suicide drone on a Russian warship in the Black Sea region.
According to Moscow, the intelligence gathering ship named Priazovye of the Black Sea Fleet, which was on duty to patrol and protect the two TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines, was attacked by six suicide boats in the early morning.
The Russian Ministry of Defense later confirmed that all of Ukraine’s suicide boats were destroyed by fire from Russian warships.
`No casualties were recorded after the above attack. The ship did not experience damage,` the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.
The Russian military also revealed that a US Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft was recorded in the Black Sea area at the time of the attack.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has not yet commented on the above allegations.
Previously, in a statement released on May 24, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the intelligence gathering ship Ivan Khurs of the Black Sea Fleet was attacked by suspected Ukrainian suicide boats in the area.

According to Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, the Ivan Khurs ship was attacked while patrolling the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines.
`All enemy suicide boats were destroyed by fire from weapons on our intelligence gathering ships,` Mr. Igor Konashenkov emphasized.
According to experts, ever since the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out, the Ukrainian military planned to use suicide boats as an effective tool to raid Russian warships and military equipment in the area.
With aerodynamic design, this device can move quickly on the water and avoid surveillance by enemy radars.
Commenting on the advantages of suicide boats, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, stated that this weapon can also perform coastal surveillance tasks, escort merchant convoys, and protect bases.
