(Dan Tri) – While continuing to provide aid to Kiev, German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz will seek to persuade Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine, to end the conflict that has lasted more than a year.

DPA newspaper said that German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz on June 10 revealed his intention to have a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future.
`I plan to dialogue (with Mr. Putin) again in the near future,` Prime Minister Scholz said.
He emphasized: `Negotiation is good, but the question is exactly who negotiates with whom and about what.`
